Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Night Shift RT to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. The successful candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients, including administering treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians
- Operate specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of equipment, identifying the need for service and/or repair when necessary
- Educate and instruct patients in purpose, technique, self-care, goal of therapy, and disease management, promoting patient autonomy and empowerment
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Respiratory Therapist certification (CRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
