About the Job
The Respiratory Therapist will work in a dynamic pediatric setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include providing pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiographs, hemodynamic values, laboratory values, and correlating blood gases and electrolytes to identify patient needs.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Operate specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues.
- Assist physicians with bedside or other procedures as applicable to the facility.
- Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment as necessary and identify the need for service and/or repair.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques, disease management, and goal achievement.
Education and Certification: We require a graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum of an associate degree and active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification is also required.
