Responsibilities:

- Perform sonographic procedures, including general, vascular, and cardiac studies. ">
- Accurately diagnose patients using your expertise. ">
- Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information and compare requisitions to physicians' orders. ">
- Maintain safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients during procedures. ">
- Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to appropriate physicians. ">
- Serve as a technical resource, role model, and preceptor for students and staff. ">
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, or cost containment projects/initiatives. ">
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to department, facility, and organization policies and protocols. ">
- Prioritize, work independently, and manage simultaneous assignments effectively. ">
Requirements:
">To be successful in this role, you must possess a Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS), as well as a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). Advanced training beyond High School in Sonography is also required. Typically, 2 years of experience in a Sonographer role is preferred.
