Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Vascular and General Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in vascular and general sonography, with the ability to accurately identify and label images.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform vascular and general procedures, including abdominal and cardiac studies.
- Review patient records to obtain necessary clinical information, compare requisitions to physicians' orders, and ensure exam accuracy.
- Position patients, select proper transducers and technical factors, and adjust settings to attain high-quality images.
- Identify and label images correctly, adhering to facility and organization policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS).
- Obtain additional specialty certifications within 3 months, as required by department leaders.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced training beyond High School in Sonography from an accredited or approved program.
