We are seeking a Sr. Technology Engineer to join our Managed Services – Engineering Team. As a member of the Engineering Team, the Sr. Technology Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of business IT needs. This would include the sourcing and refining of business requirements and the development, QA, release, and support of the final product. The Technology Engineer will be seen as Advocate’s internal system’s expert and will be called upon as a SME to address any new development, enhancements, or support issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support our end-to-end internal IT architecture
- Perform required user administration activities
- Troubleshoot data and software issues
- Identify requirements and develop new tools and functionality
- Help to enable Advocate resources to access data through reliable and scalable methods
- Support and maintain a strong security and data governance practice, ensuring data reliability, accuracy, and end to end data protection
- Build relationships and practice effective collaboration within the Technology and other Advocate teams
- Drive areas for process improvement

QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year college degree in computer science or related engineering degree
- Microsoft SQL Server - development and administration duties (including indexes, views, stored procedures, functions, and ETL)
- T-SQL on Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
- Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure environment
- Python
- Docker
- VB.NET
- .Net Framework
- JavaScript
- Experience working with external / 3rd party VPN connections
- HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript (nice to have)
- Microsoft Power BI or Tableau (nice to have)
- R (nice to have)
- Telecommunications experience (nice to have)
- IT certifications a plus, but not required
- Must provide Proof of Right to Work in the United States on the I9 Form
