Job Overview
We are seeking a Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Family law, Estate planning, criminal defense and Personal injury law. This role requires excellent legal research and writing skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients, colleagues and the Court. Some travel may be required in that we practice in the following counties: Polk, Hillsborough, Highlands, Hardee and Osceola.
Duties
- Licensed to practice by the Florida Bar.
- Conduct thorough legal research
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and estate planning documents.
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various matters related to family law, , personal injury law, criminal defense and estate planning.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients or the firm’s practice areas.
- Appear at and attend hearings well presented and timely.
- Collaborate and learn from senior attorneys within the firm on case strategy and participate in client meetings to discuss legal options.
- Assist in managing case files and ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
- Attend community and networking events.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar
- Bilingual preferred but not required
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Some knowledge of Family law, Estate planning, Criminal Defense and Personal injury law is highly desirable.
- Willingness to learn independently as well as collaboratively and be a team player.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
