Lead Generation Specialist / Sales Representative - Behavioral Health Services
Full-Time in Annapolis Maryland (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000 per year Commission Rate: 5% of the value of a referral (once 20 monthly admissions have been achieved) that results in a qualified admission of at least 30 days.
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Lead Generation Specialist / Sales Representative to join Advocate Support Services, Inc. Team.
You will be responsible for expanding our network of referrals within the local mental health community. Your primary focus will be outreach to mental health providers including therapists, psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare and social services professionals, to build long-lasting relationships and encourage them to refer patients to our mobile psychiatric rehabilitation services.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role that requires a blend of sales acumen, relationship-building skills, and knowledge of the behavioral health industry. You will work closely with our leadership team to strategize and execute growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Referral Generation: Identify and approach mental health and similar providers in Central Maryland to establish and nurture relationships.
Sales Outreach: Conduct outreach via phone calls, emails, in-person visits, and networking events to introduce our services and secure referrals.
Lead Management/CRM: Maintain an up-to-date database of leads, track progress, and ensure timely follow-up.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with providers, ensuring they understand and trust our services.
Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical and marketing teams to ensure referral sources have the latest information on our services, programs, and success stories.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on lead generation progress, conversions, and opportunities.
Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about trends in the behavioral health field, particularly within the public behavioral health system and mental health services for medical assistance recipients.
Goal Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly referral generation targets, contributing to the goal of growing the client census from 200 to 500 by 12/31/25. Monthly targets involve generating at least 40 leads/referrals per month.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven track record in sales or lead generation, preferably in healthcare, mental health, or related fields.
Knowledge: Familiarity with the Maryland public behavioral health system, psychiatric rehabilitation, and services for individuals with serious mental illness is a plus.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with professionals across all levels.
Self-Starter: Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple leads and accounts efficiently, with strong follow-up and attention to detail.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
