Advocate Warriors LLC is partnered with the highly respected school district West Ada in the Treasure Valley. We are seeking to add another dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist for the 2025-2026 school year. This role poses an excellent opportunity to provide counseling services in elementary, middle, and high schools in the West Ada School District during school hours on the school campuses. This is a part-time position that has the potential to lead to full-time work based on student, school, and district needs. This position is perfect for clinicians who are looking to work during the school day. A caseload will already be developed and set up for the clinician beginning at the start of the 2025-2026 academic year.

Educational/License Requirements
- Individuals must have a master’s degree.
- Licenses Accepted: LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT
- Maintain licenses and/or certifications as required by IDAPA.
- Licensed to work in the state of Idaho.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling to students, addressing mental health and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement behavior management strategies.
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for students with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to a positive school environment.
- Stay informed about best practices in mental health counseling and childhood development.
- Accurately document the billable services provided in the electronic health record. The record must be kept current, complete, and accurate at all times.
- Attend all associated staff meetings, training, staffing, supervision, or other meetings associated with serving respective cases as assigned.
- Maintain positive relationships and rapport with school personnel, students, family members, coworkers, and community partners.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse student population.
- Knowledge of special education and childhood development
- Familiarity with academic conflict management and academic advising
- Understanding of cultural diversity and child welfare practices
- Strong computer skills working with varying electronic health records.
- Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team model.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, moving from one task to another quickly and with ease.
- Ability to pass a DHW enhanced background check (Required)
Experience Preferences
- Experience working with children and students
- Experience working with the neurodivergent population preferred.
- 1 years in the mental health field preferred.
- Play therapy/Art therapy experience preferred.
- Experience developing treatment plans.
- Experience facilitating individual therapy.
- Experience administering mental health assessments.
