What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adoption Caseworker position at Advocates for Children and Families?
Job Purpose: Caseworker is responsible for assisting expectant mothers with their adoption plan and providing post placement support. Position requires the ability to work closely with team members and function independently as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial screening, interview/background information, and options counseling.
- Creates prenatal care planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Collaborate with expectant mother to create a birth and delivery plan.
- Support expectant mother during hospital stay.
- Coordinates match call/meeting with prospective adoptive parents.
- Act as a liaison with the hospital and legal team for execution of documents.
- Provide post placement support services for birth parent and adoptive family.
- Provide on-call support for expectant mothers.
- Exhibits the ability to consistently set and maintain professional boundaries.
- Documents case notes professionally and in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

Adoption Program Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related area of study.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in human services or child welfare position.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
