Government Contracts Associate – (Washington, DC)
Our AmLaw 100 client is seeking a Government Contracts Associate (3-5 years of experience) to join its cutting-edge National Security practice in Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in government contracts and grants to work at the intersection of regulatory law, national security, and high-stakes transactions.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
- Advise clients on government contracts and grant terms, compliance, and administration.
- Assist with the negotiation of prime and subcontracts and teaming agreements.
- Guide OTAs, SBA/SBIR rules, GSA/FSS programs, and financial assistance agreements.
- Support M&A and financing transactions by advising deal teams, clients, and investors on government contract diligence and novations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team handling foreign investment, export controls, sanctions, and regulatory matters (experience in any of these areas is a plus).
Who You Are
- 3-5 years of government contracts and grants experience at a top law firm or government agency.
- Strong knowledge of federal procurement regulations, compliance frameworks, and transactional considerations.
- Experience with national security-related regulatory issues is a plus.
- Excellent communicator and team player with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the DC Bar (or eligibility to waive in).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $260,000 - $365,000 (depending on experience).
