Our AmLaw 100 client seeks a mid-level Technology & Outsourcing Associate to join their nationally recognized practice group. About the Role
In this role, you’ll join a team of attorneys focusing on technology-driven business matters. You’ll be a key contributor to handling large-scale outsourcing arrangements, including business process outsourcing (BPO) and traditional IT outsourcing (ITO), as well as negotiating complex technology agreements. The firm’s clients span leading sectors such as technology, finance, telecommunications, life sciences, and healthcare, allowing you to work on cutting-edge matters with global impact.
You’ll work across the lifecycle of technology projects, from RFPs to contract finalization to dispute resolution. This position also offers the opportunity to collaborate with other leading practices at the firm, such as corporate and IP groups, on transformative M&A transactions and emerging issues in artificial intelligence, privacy, and cybersecurity.
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring :
- 3-5 years of experience in technology transactions, focusing on intellectual property (IP) licensing and outsourcing agreements.
- Proficiency in negotiating SaaS, global purchase, distribution, and marketing agreements.
- Hands-on experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex agreements for technology and licensing transactions.
- Knowledge of AI, privacy, and information security issues, with the ability to advise clients strategically on evolving legal frameworks.
- Experience supporting technology aspects of M&A and corporate transactions, particularly in the tech sector.
- Strong academic credentials and exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bar membership in state where applied or eligibility to waive in.
- Prior in-house experience is highly valued but not required.
