Advon Corporation is seeking a Director of Business Development for our home office in Tallahassee, FL. We are an industry-leading provider of general contracting, at-risk construction management and design-build services for Government sector clients across the Southeast region of the United States. Summary
Responsible for monitoring the bid services, identifying qualifying Request for Proposals (RFP), coordinating with respective departments, creating the response and exhibits, and submission of RFPs. Networking and business development.
Duties
Assume responsibility for the analysis of RFPs received through the bid service, procurement offices, entity websites or other sources, leading strategy discussions, writing the bid response, and exhibit and form preparation. Serve as the liaison to the Estimating and Operations personnel engaged in the solicitation. The position will also be responsible for Website and Social Media management.

Proven bid proposal or grant writing experience.
Strong written communication skills.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
Focused attention to detail.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Journalism, Business Administration, Business Management, Public Relations, or Marketing desired., and 2 years of work experience in the construction or related industry. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Related work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong skillsets working with the Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and internet research ability.
