Photographer (Automotive)

We are a small, local media company, AE Access, that services automotive dealerships. You will enjoy this job if you are someone who likes working outside, working independently and enjoys photography and being able to check out and drive the latest new vehicles on the market.

AE Access is looking for a highly motivated automotive photographer for dealerships in/around Columbus, Texas. This position is part time starting with 20 to 25 hours per week.

As an Automotive Photographer you will go to the assigned dealership on the days you are scheduled. The work is done on weekdays between the hours of 8:30 am to dusk. The daily tasks are: walking the lot to find vehicles that are ready to be photographed, staging the vehicles and taking the photos. After taking the vehicle photos you will print window stickers and addendums and put them on the vehicles that need them. Before you leave for the day you will talk to the managers and let them know which cars were shot and make sure that they don’t have anything else to be photographed. Also you will upload the photos to cloud storage for our editor.

You need to be able to get the vehicles photographed in a timely manner while still keeping the quality great. The work is performed outside so you need to be comfortable with sweating and working in the heat. This job also requires a fair amount of walking, so you need to be comfortable with working on your feet.

It is critical to be able to communicate well and develop a professional relationship with us and the managers at the dealership(s).

Compensation is per vehicle so you have the opportunity to make more the harder you work.

Average is between $16 to $24 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

• Travel to and from the assigned dealership(s)
• Stage and park vehicles is a safe manner
• Take high quality photos according to the shot list.
• Maintain consistent communication with company manager and dealership managers
• Consistently show up to assigned dealership(s) and maintain a good business relationship.
• Print window stickers, buyers guides and addendums
• Make sure all vehicles have stickers on them
• Make sure all vehicles are getting photographed in a timely manner
• Locate keys
• Upload photos to cloud storage for photo editor

Requirements

• 18 or older
• Reliable transportation
• Must have a valid driver license and good driving history
• Enjoy working on your own

• Love working outdoors and on your feet

• Proactive problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working at a car dealership
• Previous photography knowledge
• Porter or valet
• Previous outdoor work/job
• Previously played sports
• Ability to drive a stick shift (we will teach you if you can’t)
