Description:
We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate a range of heavy machinery to handle material movement, loading, and unloading tasks at construction sites, mining operations, or industrial sites. Your responsibilities will include operating equipment safely and efficiently, in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company policies. The job involves operating various heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, track hoes, skid loaders, trenchers, digger derricks, man lifts, locating equipment, and boring machines under general supervision.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment to complete the scope of work.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately and on schedule.
- Transport and handle materials such as dirt, gravel, rocks, and debris.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report any equipment defects or safety issues to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors on-site to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to interpret and follow construction plans and specifications.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Working Conditions:
- Mostly outdoor year-round in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
- Able to work 8 to 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts
