JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety programs across various job sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and minimizing risks associated with construction activities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safety Program Implementation: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive field safety programs in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify potential hazards.
- Training and Development: Organize and facilitate safety training sessions for field employees and subcontractors, ensuring they are well-versed in safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a positive safety culture by engaging with employees at all levels, encouraging open communication, and promoting safety initiatives.
- Incident Investigation: Lead onsite investigations of workplace accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of field safety incidents, training, and inspections, and prepare reports for management.
- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans, conducting drills and ensuring all staff are familiar with procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Construction managers, supervisors, foremen, and job leads to integrate safety into all aspects of project planning and execution.
- Supervise: Oversee, train, and supervise safety technician.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- LICENSES Current Driver's License and have own transportation, some provided
- EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science in the construction field (required).
- EXPERIENCE At least five years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry (preferred).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The majority of the time will be spent at the customer's Jobsite, reviewing and walking site to ensure safety compliance. Additionally, some time will be spent conducting training sessions for new employees to site and attending meetings as needed. Travel to and from different job sites will be necessary multiple times during the week. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
