RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work with customer to ensure compliance with safety policies, work permits, and OSHA standards by all contractors and/or subcontractors.
2. Evaluate working conditions and recommends improvements in safety and health methods, practices, and procedures.
3. Responsible for project safety orientation and contractor badging when the assigned project requires.
4. Responsible for working side-by-side with site superintendent to ensure Jobsite compliance with all regulatory agencies, safety policies, and customer guidelines.
5. Maintains current records of all project safety inspections per contractor.
6. Reviews all injury and noninjury incidents, assists in preparing incident reports, and assists with conducting investigations of incidents.
7. Collect safety records for all onsite subcontractors, including training documents, toolbox talks, accident/incident investigations.
8. Act as a liaison to customer safety and management staff.
9. Reviews all subcontractor safety documentation.
10. Attends construction progress meetings and provides safety statistics on a weekly basis (hours, safe hours, incidents)
11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. LICENSES Current Driver's License and have own transportation, some provided
2. EDUCATION OSHA 30-hour (510) construction course completion
3. EXPERIENCE At least two years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry. Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The majority of the time will be spent at the customer's Jobsite, reviewing and walking site to ensure safety compliance. Additionally, some time will be spent conducting training sessions for new employees to site and attending meetings as needed. Travel to and from different job sites will be necessary multiple times during the week. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
