Scope of Work
- Provide guidance in the administration and implementation of safety program,
- Observe safety activities of employees at all AE jobsites.
- Provide safety advice and document safety recommendations to employees to ensure effective safety control mechanisms.
Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on job sites, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Participate in incident investigations and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure that all safety activities are appropriately documented.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of safety training programs for employees.
- Monitor and update safety data sheets (SDS) and maintain safety-related documentation.
- Contribute to the development of toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Stay current on industry-specific safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide support in the coordination of emergency response procedures and drills.
- Assist in the maintenance of safety-related records and documentation.
- Promote and develop a positive and proactive safety culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- LICENSES Current Driver's License and have own transportation, some provided.
- EDUCATION
- OSHA 30-hour (510) construction course completed within 90 days of hire.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in occupational health and safety is a plus.
- EXPERIENCE At least five years of experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of occupational safety regulations, particularly in the construction or electrical industry.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and personnel at various levels.
- Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of the time will be spent at the customer's job site, reviewing and walking the site to ensure safety compliance. Additionally, some time will be spent conducting training sessions for new employees to the site and attending meetings as needed. Travel to and from different job sites will be necessary multiple times during the week. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
