What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Technician position at AE Motorsports?
AE Motorsports is looking for an experienced European / Import technician. We specialize in Volvo, BMW, Mini, Audi, and VW as our main line of cars. We fill in the cracks with Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Mazda, Nissan etc. We have been in business since 2012 and have expanded and grown every year. We are in a 7,000 sq ft building with epoxy white floors, clean offices with a proper waiting room. We service 60 cars a week on average and are consistently busy.
We currently have 5 tech's and 2 service writers. Looking to add the 6th tech.
- I am in need of someone with at least 3 years experience in the automotive field.
- Looking for someone that can complete all types of service work across those car lines with no questions asked.
- Someone with some diagnostic skills, misfire, fuel trim issues, evap etc is a plus but not mandatory.
You don't have to be the diagnostic master. We will teach you what you don't know. I also pay for tech training classes. You find a class you wanna take I am happy to pay for it. We are an honest shop. We all get along and enjoy working with each other. We have fun on a daily basis, because lets be real, working on cars can be very frustrating! I try and create a work environment that is as little stress as possible. I buy tools when we need them, I cook lunches for the guys when I have time. ( yes we have a full kitchen at the shop) , I am flexible with time off, the service writers are not pressuring you to get the job done. You spend more time at work then you will with your family or wife / girlfriend. So we all need to get along and enjoy going to work as much as we can. I believe I have succeeded in creating that environment.
We offer healthcare and paid time off. I am also flexible in how you get paid. I want it to work for both of us. I have some tech's on
hourly, some on flat rate and some on bonus structure. Your pay is based on your experience, knowledge and what you can bring to AE Motorsports.
