The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading and delivering electrical power systems on projects such as water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, municipal systems, process facilities, power generation, power distribution, lighting, instrumentation/controls, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

Responsibilities
- Be a critical part of AE2S culture to provide extreme client service
- Provide professional electrical engineering services for projects including planning, studies, design, bidding and construction administration
- Project Management, including managing performance of assigned project team members
- Maintain existing client relationships and lead pursuits to expand relationships with clients in the region
- Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
- Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
- Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments
- Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings
- Develop new electrical markets in the region, client relationships, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 5 years of electrical system design experience in the water/wastewater, power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, substation, renewable energies, or similar industrial facility areas
- Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
- 7 years of Electrical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatment
- Renewable energy experience (such as Wind/Solar/Battery Banks/Etc)
- Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
- Substation design and medium voltage experience
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of project financials
- Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
- May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
