Position
Stockroom is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, material, supplies, tools, compiles stock records in stockroom.
Responsibilities
- Count, run stock where needed, sort, or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
- Store articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
- Compile reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
- Fill orders or issues supplies from stock as well as requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
Qualifications
- Ability to mark identifying codes, figures, or letters of articles.
- Can enter information into established computer system, production records, logs, time clock, and other forms.
- Be able to determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location.
- Ability to examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Be able to distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued.
