The Production Planner is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production process in the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient workflow by developing and managing production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, allocating resources, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals and delivery deadlines, all while minimizing costs and optimizing productivity.

Position
The Production Planner is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production process in the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient workflow by developing and managing production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, allocating resources, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals and delivery deadlines, all while minimizing costs and optimizing productivity.
Responsibilities
- Check timecards and correct Labor Edit Report
- Process all Engineering change notices
- Close completed jobs from the shop
- Key scrap and check inventory
- Run all production jobs and attach engineering prints for individual parts
- Complete steps to prepare for physical inventory
- Creates jobs for manufactured parts, issues jobs and closes jobs
- Work with Operations team in optimizing the schedule for truck build
- Runs all production jobs and attaches engineering prints for each part
- Provides clerical support for the PIC Department
- Release work orders for the shop to process
- Check on material shortages and expedite as needed.
- Obtain approvals from vendors to return goods and services for credit and complete proper procedures to complete returns.
- Follow best lean manufacturing practices
- Continuous improvement of the operation
- Other tasks and projects given by his / her supervisor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
