What You’ll Do:
As an Electrical Design Engineer – Water Treatment, you’ll have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement electrical systems that support the safe and efficient operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Designing power distribution, motor control, lighting, and automation systems for water treatment facilities.
- Developing electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring plans to support construction and operations.
- Conducting load calculations, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies to ensure system safety and efficiency.
- Selecting and specifying electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, and VFDs for optimal plant performance.
- Collaborating with civil, mechanical, and process engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall facility designs.
- Ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other industry standards in all designs.
- Supporting construction teams by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site inspections.
About You:
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment projects
- Proficiency in Revit, SKM Power Tools, ETAP
- Knowledge of low and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls, SCADA systems, and instrumentation
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and IEEE codes and standards
