Our client is looking to hire an innovative, creative, highly talented Highway-Roadway Engineer - Project Manager Lead in their Miami, FL office. This client has been in business for over 100 years and is an employed owned firm. You will have the opportunity to build a team, continue to professionally grow, and they have an awesome culture with a family feel. This firm also has a hybrid schedule where you work two (2) days in the office - Mondays and Thursdays - and the remainder three (3) days, from home.
Responsibilities :
- Provide technical and leadership guidance for transportation engineers,
- Maintain strong client relationships,
- Pursue and win projects with FDOT and local agency clients
- Prepare proposals and marketing presentations
- Manage multiple projects and project teams within budget and schedule.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform roadway design tasks, including geometric design of highways and streets, signing and pavement marking, maintenance of traffic, ADA pedestrian / bicycle designs, and plan preparation utilizing Open Road Designer, from conception phase to final deliverable phase, including specs package and cost estimate and post-design services.
- Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians and / or junior engineers for development of contract plans related to design work.
- Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
- Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
- Review and check roadway and shop drawings
