Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Wildlife Biologist to support some of California's most important projects. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our group of more than 100 environmental professionals in Northern California. This position would join a core AECOM team supporting project environmental reviews and compliance for a key client, with a focus on office-based work such as database and literature review, technical writing, permitting, and reporting.

The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

Conducting desktop analysis of biological resources and preparation of biological technical reports to document results.

Preparation of technical reports to document survey and monitoring findings.

Preparation of permit application packages, including CDFW 1602, USACE 404, and RWQCB 401.

Preparation of Biological Assessments for submittal to USFW or NMFS.

Staffing of field efforts, including preconstruction surveys and biological monitoring.

Surveys for special-status wildlife and nesting birds.

Monitoring of construction activities for compliance with environmental requirements and/or permits.

Participation as an active and positive member of AECOM’s Impact Assessment and Planning practice in the SF Bay Area.

Occasional travel in Central and Northern California may be required.
