Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Approver to be based in Houston, TX and can be worked partially remote.

 

- Provides day-to-day operations management in support of the P&L Manager (PD2) and Director of Operations, (DOO), Transportation Business Line, US West Region
- Acts as an extension of the DOO including assessing and actioning project related approvals.
- Oversees a portfolio of AECOM Project Managers, (PM), associated projects, and provides guidance and support to the PM's.

–Portfolio Manager for up to 250 Projects

-- Lead monthly project review meetings with Project Managers, (PM's), to monitor project-level performance, budget, schedule, risk, and quality management, including review and approval of EACs

–Drive consistent PM practices and procedures in alignment with AECOM PM requirements

--High level review and approval of proposal scopes, schedules, and budgets

–Review and approve project plans

–Review and approve project changes

–Assist in PM performance reviews by others

–Conduct Healthy Starts, drive DTW process, and provide project-level input to Monthly Business Reviews as requested

–Solicit constructive feedback from PMs regarding AECOM PM requirements, processes, and tools

–Contribute to / advise on the assignment of PMs to projects within the BL

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:       

  • BA/BS 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience working within AECOM projects/systems
  • Understanding or ability to understand AECOM business operations
