Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Southern California Market Sector Lead for employment in Los Angeles, to support and grow our regional water/wastewater practice. In this role, the selected candidate will work closely with our planners, engineers, scientists, landscape architects, and construction managers to develop integrated solutions and business development opportunities.
The Water/Wastewater Market Sector Lead reports to the US West Region Water/Wastewater Growth Lead and works closely with the Regional Water Market Sector Leads.
Primary Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Southern California Market Sector Lead will be to support and grow our regional water and wastewater practice and provide leadership and guidance as it relates to our services. In this role, the selected candidate will work with our US West Region Water team, collaborate with our National and Global Water teams, and be responsible for the overall vision and growth strategy for our Water/Wastewater practice in Southern California. The selected candidate will also function as a mentor to staff, manage client relationships, and help support projects and programs that may include or require:
Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects including, treatment and pipeline planning, design, and construction
Understanding of regional and national regulations
Relationships with regional and national clients and professionals
Design of pump stations, pipelines, and treatment facilities
Program management and/or Alternative Delivery
Ability to function as an active team player and leader in a diverse multidisciplinary environment
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including two years of leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Engineering, Hydraulics, Hydrology, Water Resources, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
15 years of related work experience required, with at least ten years of which shall include participating in project teams delivering water/wastewater infrastructure reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates in a lead role.
Experience with business development and leading business development teams.
Experience with client relations and management.
Experience in conceptual design, preliminary design, final design, and construction of water infrastructure.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range is $141,000 - $261,000/annually (exempt).
