In December 2024, United Engineers and Constructors was acquired by Aecon Group Inc. Aecon and United have a proven working relationship and the United team continues to operate in the market as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company.
We are seeking a registered architect to support our fast-growing power generation and infrastructure business. The position will be based out of our Mt. Laurel, NJ (preferred) or our Charlotte, NC office. The successful candidate will have experience in heavy industrial structures, as well as general commercial projects.
What You'll Do Here
- Responsible for the conceptual and detailed design aspects of an assigned architectural project.
- Provides professional consultation and responsibility in planning, design, coordination and construction administration.
- Apply advanced architectural concepts and designs.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced architects.
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) from a five-year accredited college or university
- Must be a registered architect (RA) and certified LEED Professional
- Ten (10) years of experience in developing architectural designs for commercial and heavy industries.
- Able to develop electronic 3D models, perform studies, develop all the construction documents such as drawings, and specifications required to support a project from conception through construction.
- Perform code reviews, evaluate life safety and ADA requirements, etc.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, and construction.
- Experience with AutoDesk Revit, and AutoCAD
- Experience with MicroStation, Photoshop, Rhino a plus.
