Job Summary:
We are seeking a Utility Consultant to support our real estate development projects by managing utility infrastructure, optimizing energy efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, engineers, and local utility providers to streamline utility planning, reduce costs, and implement sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utility Infrastructure Planning:
- Coordinate with utility providers to ensure timely installation of power, water, gas, and telecommunication services.
- Evaluate project utility needs and develop cost-effective strategies for utility integration.
- Energy Efficiency & Sustainability:
- Recommend and implement energy-efficient solutions to minimize operational costs.
- Advise on renewable energy integration and sustainable utility practices.
- Regulatory Compliance & Permitting:
- Ensure all utility installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from utility companies and regulatory agencies.
- Cost Management & Optimization:
- Analyze utility costs and identify opportunities for savings.
- Negotiate agreements with utility providers to secure favorable rates and service terms.
- Project Coordination & Support:
- Work closely with design and construction teams to align utility infrastructure with development plans.
- Address utility-related challenges and provide solutions throughout project development.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Previous working experience inside PG&E or similar utilities provider.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in utility consulting, infrastructure planning, or related roles in real estate development.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of utility systems, energy efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including developers, utility providers, and government agencies.
