Position Description:
The Senior Accountant will be a crucial member of the Accounting team, tasked with leading the month-end close process and ensuring the delivery of accurate and actionable financial information to senior management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong drive for efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited to the Following:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the monthly financial close process.
- Review and approve journal entries, ensuring all entries are supported by valid documentation.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with company policies during the general ledger account roll-forwards, reconciliations, and analyses.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Lead research efforts into financial statement variances and provide insights.
- Drive strategic improvements to the month-end close process and ensure robust internal controls.
- Mentor junior staff and manage team responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, including significant experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Demonstrated experience working in multinational companies.
- Strong background in inventory accounting.
- Proven track record managing and being hands-on with open blank projects.
- Expertise in ERP implementations, including design, architecture, and process improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with large reputable ERP systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with superior written and oral communication abilities.
- Acute attention to detail with robust analytical skills.
- Capacity to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines, with excellent organization and priority-setting skills.
- Strong work ethic, taking a hands-on approach to challenges.
- A continuous improvement mindset, adept at establishing new processes and documenting procedures.
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on customer needs.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in accounting strongly preferred but not required.
- Experience with accounting across multiple currencies.
