About the Job
Medical Assistants work in conjunction with the doctors to perform activities involving patient care, pre-testing, post-exam duties, FDT testing and maintain the doctor's appointment schedule in a manner that delivers a professional, pleasurable patient experience.
Job Description:
- Conduct preliminary tests and assessments
- Perform diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to aid in eye examinations
- Assist in contact lens fittings, including instruction on insertion, removal, and care
- Obtain and maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist doctors to care for patients in a timely and effective manner
- Instruct patients in medical care as prescribed by the doctor’s treatment plan
- Respond to patient’s telephone and email inquiries regarding medication and treatment
Requirements:
- High School or GED qualifications
- Prior experience not required but preferred
- Entry level computer skills
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment and individually
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
