We provide NDT, new construction, maintenance, and inspection services in all aspects of the oil and gas industries, including exploration, transmission, refining, storage facilities, and all oil related support industries. 

Position Purpose

• The purpose of the Fleet & Operations Support Personnel is to support USA operations of JANX by assisting with vehicle preparation, mobilization, and demobilization based on project or customer demands as well as assisting with all building maintenance, darkroom repair and refurbish, vehicle maintenance, shop tasks, and welding fabrication.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support all the operational requirements as needed for project mobilization, demobilization or other operational needs in the timelines as required; this includes preparing and loading of trucks ensuring proper supplies and equipment as need for the type of work (radiography) and ensuring vehicle is operable and field ready by the customer driven timelines.
• Support and assist with equipment builds such as darkrooms under the direction of the Shop Supervisor.
• Support with equipment refurbish including darkrooms ensuring the construction is safe and correct, according to specifications.
• Support basic vehicle maintenance and repairs under the direction of the Shop Supervisor.
• Support and assist with routine building maintenance such as air filters, lightbulbs, and other required building maintenance as requested by the Operations Manager for the Parma office.
• Assist with vehicle drop off or retrieval as work and field operations requirements change.
• Assist with other JANX office requirements such as inventory and transporting JANX property for office closures or openings.
• Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
• Follow and enforce Company policies at all times.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally
• Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

• Welding fabrication highly preferred
• General knowledge of construction principles for JANX darkroom builds or general construction and electrical building knowledge, preferred.
• General knowledge of basic vehicle repairs, preferred.
• General knowledge of field operational equipment and supplies requirements.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative without minimal instructions and to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• The ability to understand the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Demonstrates a systematic approach in carrying out assignments. Is very orderly and excels at cutting through confusion and turning chaos into order.
• Shows willingness and aptitude to use own discretion in taking appropriate steps in finding solutions to problems; presents options and ideas to enhance current processes or procedures. Takes on additional responsibility when both big and small tasks need to be done.

Education and Work Experience

• High school or equivalency diploma preferred.
• General shop, maintenance, and general construction experience preferred.
• Fleet experience
• Welding expeirence preferred
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Certificates and Licenses Required

Working Conditions

• The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in temperature extremes and inclement weather. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials and working environment
• May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud when working in the shop.
• Overtime may be required during the week and weekend with work volume
• Ability to travel when required, nationally, up to 15% of the time.
• Ability to be flexible with work schedules and respond to requests without advance warning or notification.
