What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vendor Surveillance Staff Inspector position at Aegeus?
Position Overview
We have an opening for a full time Vendor Surveillance Staff Inspector located in Texas! The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in vendor surveillance, PT, MT, and VT experience required. This is a full time role that includes benefits, 401K, and PTO! Come join the growing Aegeus team!
The main duties include:
- Perform and review internal and external inspections to determine if items under inspection meet the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard or regulations.
- Audit inspections to ensure compliance with vendor processes and products.
- Oversee inspection of mechanical equipment, piping, structure and welding activities conducted at shops and construction sites.
- Properly interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards, and convey those requirements to vendors.
- Stay abreast of changes in regulatory standards and updating inspection protocols accordingly
- Identify potential risks associated with vendor products and processes.
- Implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have 5 years in vendor surveillance.
- NDE PT, MT, and VT experience hours required.
- Film interpretation a plus.
Certificates and Licenses Required
- CWI preferred.
- API 510 and 570 a plus.
