Responsibilities
- Conduct GNC analysis to evaluate spacecraft systems and ensure they meet performance and mission objectives.
- Develop and test GNC models using Matlab/Simulink.
- Perform simulations and analyze data to assess the behavior and performance of spacecraft GNC systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize GNC systems and ensure system integration.
- Provide technical support for GNC-related issues and contribute to resolving system discrepancies.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of GNC analysis techniques and simulation tools.
- Support project design reviews (PDR, CDR)
- Participate in regular team meetings to provide status and coordinate with teammates
REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Strong Matlab/Simulink knowledge and experience for system modeling and simulation.
- Proven GNC analysis experience in the aerospace industry or related fields.
- Ability to develop and analyze simulations to ensure spacecraft systems meet performance specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have US Citizenship.
- Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
- Ability to attain and maintain respect and confidence of the customer and contract personnel. A close, cooperative customer interface is essential.
- Mature, professional judgment in establishing objectives, milestones and priorities.
- Reliable and dependable work habits and dedication to get the job done.
- Experience in Controls and Systems Engineering.
- Knowledge of systems integration and testing methodologies for GNC systems.
- Background in spacecraft trajectory optimization, navigation systems, or autonomous systems.
- Familiarity with real-time simulation and testing environments.
- Experience working on government contracts.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
