Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an Geochemist for our laboratory located in Midland, TX. The Geochemist is responsible for analyzing and interpreting XRD analysis. This position will report to the Midland Lab Manager.
Description:
The Geochemist will be responsible for (including but not limited to):
- Analyze and interpret XRD analysis. Coordinating and advising lab personnel, in test procedures, for analyzing components and physical properties, of materials, equipment, and analytical methods.
- Interact with the sales and field technical staff to understand their needs and advise in best solution
- Working Knowledge of all routine lab tests/procedures in order to fill in or advise in absence of lab tech
- Ability to manage people
- Capable of multi-tasking with good time management
- Routine maintenance and daily use of XRD
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology
- Strong computer skills and experience with laboratory data input and reporting is a plus. Attention to detail, highly organized, and deadline driven is also a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and who can work independently with little to no supervision will be highly successful. A solid understanding and respect for HSE guidelines is essential.
