Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for Technical Services Representative. The Technical Services Representative serves as a liaison between Aegis customers and laboratory staff. The Technical Services Representative will report to the Regional Technical Services Manager.
Description:
The Technical Services Representative will be responsible for (including but not limited to):
- Troubleshooting issues commonly found in the oilfield with production, pipelines, and other systems associated with asset integrity (corrosion)
- Flow assurance (scale, paraffin, hydrates, etc.)
- Phase separation (demulsification, water clarification, and water quality)
- Interacting with specified customers
- Performing tasks such as writing of proposals, technical reports, making product recommendations
- Active participation in customer meetings
- Visiting customer field locations and conducting analyses in the laboratory and at field locations will be a critical part of this role.
Qualifications:
A BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or other science-related fields is preferred.
A degreed professional in any of the majors designated above will be considered with experience of up to two (2) years working at the field level in the specialty chemical business, or other related fields in the oil & gas industry. Aegis will also consider candidates with five (5) or more years’ experience in specialty chemicals or oilfield production Technical Services experience in lieu of degree requirements.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required for this role, as the Technical Services Representative will be responsible for preparing and writing technical documents, as well as developing and delivering Power Point Presentations regarding their findings. An individual who is able to work independently with little to no supervision will be highly successful. A solid understanding and respect for HSE guidelines is a must.
