Aegis Health Care is currently seeking a compassionate Chaplain that has a passion for providing outstanding services to the elderly in Senior Living Communities and in-home health settings. This is a full-time position serving the Tucson, Arizona area. Compensation $22-$27 / Hourly DOE

Each Chaplain is an important part of the Aegis Health Care team. Aegis specializes in providing care for hospice and home health patients in senior living communities or in the patient's home. Chaplains are crucial to the care of patients in their end-of life process. You will provide spiritual solace and comfort to both our patients and their families, that honors their beliefs and values. Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of hospice patients and family's spiritual needs
• Provide direct spiritual support and counsel to patients and family members according to their belief system and practice
• Coordinate with local clergy for religious rituals as needed
• Provide bereavement follow-up services as defined by Hospice
• Participate in the development of the interdisciplinary group (IDG) plan of care to meet identified spiritual needs
• Conduct religious services for patients/families as requested
• Maintain proper records of visits
• Accept and perform other related duties and responsibilities as required

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in counseling, theology, divinity, or related field
• Adaptive problem-solving skills
• Compassionate and caring attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Valid Driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable automobile
• Proof of current automobile insurance
• Current CPR certification
• Negative TB test
