AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Claims Litigation Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Claims Division, you will be responsible for overseeing an inventory of complex General Liability claims at the excess level. Your primary goal will be to effectively manage assigned claims and provide claims services and advice to AEGIS and its Members-Policyholders.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance claims or a related legal field, with expertise in coverage analysis, litigation procedures, and management/negotiation of large and/or complex claims. A law degree from an ABA accredited school and admission to a state bar are preferred. Professional insurance designations and working knowledge of the energy industry are also desirable. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have excellent presentation skills.
As a Claims Litigation Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department when the Claims management team is unavailable. You will work closely with insureds, counsel, brokers, and reinsurers to foster and maintain good working relationships. In addition, you will assist in the development of policy and standards for the Claims Division and ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with regulatory requirements.
