AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. (“AEGIS”) has an immediate opening for an Underwriting Officer with expertise in various Management Liability products to join our team. This role is responsible for evaluating, underwriting, and managing D&O, Fiduciary and Professional Liability policies for customers in the power, utility, and energy industries. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience underwriting Management Liability risks, a deep understanding of the complexities of D&O coverage and a proven ability to assess risk, negotiate terms, and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience underwriting Management Liability risks.
- Proven track record of underwriting and managing complex accounts with a focus on profitability and risk mitigation.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- P&C license, Surplus Lines license and/or relevant professional designations (CPCU, RPLU, etc.) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of management liability insurance, corporate governance, and related legal and regulatory issues.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to assess complex risk profiles.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to underwriting.
- Proficiency in underwriting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-related tools.

We expect to pay a starting salary between $150,000 and $200,000. An applicant’s placement within this range is based on their individual qualifications and professional experience. In addition to base salary, AEGIS employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s annual incentive program, with competitive awards based on corporate and individual performance.
