We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer with hands-on experience in Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems that drive our automated processes.
This position requires a strong understanding of industrial automation, PLC/HMI programming, and the ability to support both new equipment installations and existing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems, primarily using Allen Bradley (RSLogix, Studio 5000) and Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7) platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, engineering) to identify automation improvement opportunities.
Support and optimize manufacturing equipment including conveyors, robotics, vision systems, and other automated machinery.
Perform root cause analysis and implement control system improvements for downtime reduction.
Manage electrical/control system upgrades and modifications to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation including electrical schematics, IO lists, and control logic.
Provide training and technical support to maintenance and production teams as needed.
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc.).
Qualifications:
Required:
3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.
Proficient in programming, troubleshooting, and deploying Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems.
Strong knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.).
Familiar with electrical panel design and troubleshooting.
Experience with VFDs, motion control, and safety circuits.
