What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Quality Support Technician position at Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering?
1.0 Position Purpose
This position will be responsible for conducting quality checks, responding and answering PSG machine alarms, performing vision system checks as well as daily cleaning and housekeeping of their work area.
2.0 Responsibilities
2.1 General
Ensures that all work undertaken is carried out safely and without injury
Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed at all times (no jewelry, cell phone, nicotine in any form, etc.)
Ensures that all food safety issues are reported to the appropriate manager or supervisor
Dispose of scrap into proper containers
Identify Opportunities for Improvement and enter into See It, Sort It, Report It System
Duties as assigned per Production Supervisor
Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted and to work while standing for 12 hours
Flexible to quickly adapt to learning new tasks, moving to new areas to meet changing customer demands
2.2 Job Tasks
Documentation of quality checks at set intervals throughout shift
Ensure Quality Checks are documented in SPC and signed off on at set interval
Responding and answering secondary equipment alarms, escalating to the appropriate department when necessary
Perform daily cleaning of secondary equipment
Perform Vision System Checks
o Ensure System Control is functioning
o Ensure the correct programing is entered
Housekeeping duties performed throughout the shift per Housekeeping Layout
3.0 Skills
Basic math and computer skills
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
4.0 Experience
1-year manufacturing experience in manufacturing environment
