What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Design Engineer position at Aegis Search?
We are currently looking for an electrical engineer to join an IoT start up in San Francisco, California. Working closely with the founding team, you will play a key role in designing a number of new products for market. This role would suit a candidate who enjoys operating with a large amount of autonomy, who has a track records of bringing products into large scale production, and who is happy working without guardrails to solve technical challenges.
You will be primarily designing mixed signal boards, as well as working on some low power analog projects. Knowledge of full lifecycle design, including test and debug, is key, as well as strong focus on designing products that are high quality and manufacturable.
You will be working for a business led by a serial entrepreneur who has already successfully scaled several businesses into global players. The role is based full time on site in San Francisco, and the base salary for this role is in the region of $160k - $200k dependent on experience, with equity and health coverage on top.
The role;
- Mixed signal board design
- PCB design (ideally using Altium)
- Ethernet
- I2C, SPI, UART, USB
- Hands on test and debug
- Experience designing for manufacture in large volumes
- Experience designing high end consumer / robotics products would be beneficial
- Firmware knowledge would be beneficial
