Job Title: Project Manager
Division: Automation & Intelligence
*Must be located in South Carolina
Remote Up to 30% Travel
- Ensures a thorough understanding of project requirements by reviewing contracts, Sales Scope Letters, and supporting documents. Analyzes budget categories and strategizes to stay within or under financial limits, collaborating with sales and estimating teams to adjust pricing when necessary.
- Creates and maintains project schedules within NetSuite, aligning plans with Contractor/Owner timelines and updating them as needed. Works closely with the Production team to track deliverables and milestones. Coordinates with Project Engineering to develop Field Instrumentation Submittals, panel designs, and Panel Hardware Submittals, ensuring timely customer approvals.
- Engages with project teams on HMI software, graphic interfaces, and PLC application requirements, overseeing development and implementation. Follows best practices and project methodologies to ensure smooth execution. Regularly meets with the Regional Vice President (RVP) before weekly S&OP meetings to align production efforts with customer expectations.
- Manages quality control reviews and on-site demonstrations, working with customers and the production team to uphold standards. Identifies and resolves project challenges in a way that balances company interests with customer satisfaction.
- Works with finance to review billing schedules, ensuring invoices align with contracts and payments are received on time. Completes project reports, including management updates, work-in-progress summaries, revenue tracking, and labor forecasts.
- Confirms all project completion requirements—such as testing, demonstrations, punch lists, billing, and documentation—are met per contract and company standards. Handles multiple projects at once, ranging from $10,000 to $5 million, with a typical workload of up to 20 projects or a $10 million total backlog.
- Provides ongoing customer support throughout the warranty period and proactively engages with clients to offer assistance and explore new opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Project Management Experience: 2 years managing controls-related technical/engineering projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Water/wastewater experience is a plus but not required.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication with technical personnel, and experience interpreting contract documents.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project).
- Financial & Contract Management: Ability to interpret financial reports and legal contracts.
- Multi-Project Coordination: Capable of managing up to 20 projects simultaneously, ranging from $10K to $5M, with a total backlog of up to $10M.
Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
