Location : Harwood Heights, IL
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components for our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this position is pivotal in driving supply chain efficiency, meeting production schedules, and supporting our efforts to modernize procurement processes.
As a Buyer, you’ll work hands-on with MRP reports, place purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and source reliable suppliers for cost-effective, high-quality components. This role offers the opportunity to actively manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and resolve supply chain challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review MRP reports and manage procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components for production.
- Source suppliers, obtain competitive quotes, and negotiate pricing and contract terms.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure consistent performance.
- Identify and address supply chain bottlenecks or disruptions to meet production schedules.
- Contribute to process improvements as part of ongoing ERP system modernization efforts.
- Ensure alignment with quality standards while optimizing costs.
