CNC Programmer | Manufacturing Engineer – Esprit CAM
📍 Location: On-site - Chicago, IL | High-Precision Manufacturing
A leading precision manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer or Manufacturing Engineer to focus exclusively on programming CNC lathes, mills, and mill-turn machines using Esprit 2020 and Esprit Edge CAM software. This is a plug-and-play opportunity—we need someone who can hit the ground running and immediately contribute to our team.
🔹 About the Role:
- 80% of your time will be spent programming with Esprit CAM software.
- 20% of your time will involve troubleshooting programming-related issues on machines.
- Collaborate with a tight-knit team of four CNC programmers, operators, and setup personnel.
- Work with 22 Fanuc-controlled CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment.
🔹 Must-Have Qualifications:
✔ 8 years of experience in CNC programming or manufacturing engineering in a high-precision machine shop. (Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree may qualify with 4 years of experience.)
✔ Proficiency in Esprit CAM software (Esprit 2020 & Esprit Edge).
✔ Strong background in CNC lathes and mill-turn machines.
✔ Experience troubleshooting programming-related issues directly on machines.
✔ Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
🔹 Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
➕ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
➕ Knowledge of secondary processing (deburring, engraving, heat treating, plating, anodizing, NDT, etc.).
➕ Experience overseeing the full manufacturing process from start to finish.
