Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for industrial automation equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, PLC programming, troubleshooting, and a passion for improving automation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot control systems for machinery and automated processes, including PLCs and HMIs.
- Develop, test, and modify control algorithms and processes to optimize production and manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with other engineers and production teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems into production environments.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues with control systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Maintain documentation for control system designs, schematics, and updates, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for control systems to minimize downtime and ensure long-term reliability.
- Conduct training for operators and maintenance teams on new control systems and processes.
- Monitor control system performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure that control systems are compliant with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer or in a similar role, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong experience with PLC programming, including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar brands.
- Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting complex control system issues.
- Understanding of electrical systems, circuits, sensors, and actuators.
- Experience with control system software, including ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text.
- Experience in automation, industrial control, robotics, or process control is a plus.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
