Job Title: Maintenance Reliability Engineer
Location: Rockledge, FL
Shift: M-F, 6:30am-4:00pm
Position Overview:
Aegis is partnered with a large manufacturer in the Rockledge, FL area and we are seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to join their team! The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure machine reliability and optimize equipment performance by implementing effective preventative maintenance strategies. This hands-on role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the engineer serving as the last line of defense for advanced maintenance issues. The Reliability Engineer will also supervise a team of 8-10 maintenance technicians, leading them in executing maintenance plans and resolving complex technical challenges on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to enhance machine reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Utilize data analysis to drive improvements in mechanical integrity, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and overall equipment efficiency.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve advanced mechanical and electrical issues, including PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley preferred).
- Serve as the final point of escalation for the maintenance team in resolving critical and advanced equipment issues.
- Provide leadership and supervision to a team of 8-10 maintenance technicians, ensuring timely execution of maintenance activities and adherence to safety protocols.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing machine performance and reducing maintenance costs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices related to machine reliability and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field required).
- 3 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or a related field in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership experience supervising maintenance teams, with strong people management and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment, including expertise in preventative maintenance.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in mechanical integrity and TPM processes.
- Ability to work on the production floor and handle complex, high-priority issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of maintenance software and data analysis tools is a plus.
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
