About This Role:
Join the Indianapolis manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you’ll play a key role in supporting high-volume production through equipment troubleshooting, upgrades, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond quickly to equipment issues and act as the technical lead during plant disruptions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment/tooling issues; support maintenance, tool room, and production teams.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.
- Plan and execute equipment repairs, upgrades, and tooling improvements.
- Ensure equipment readiness and safety post-maintenance.
- Lead Kaizen events to boost efficiency and output.
- Manage planning systems, maintenance logs, and purchase orders.
- Drive initiatives for cost, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements.
- Drive OSHA compliance and safety culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of experience in Operations or Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with A/B ControlLogix 5000, Siemens S7 PLCs, VFDs, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Stamping press/tooling troubleshooting knowledge
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills; continuous improvement mindset
- Experience with Six Sigma/Lean principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and maintenance systems
- Willingness to work 1st/2nd shift and overtime as needed
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
