Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed mechanical designs, including 2D drawings and 3D models, for industrial machinery, equipment, and structural components.
- Create and revise technical drawings, assembly instructions, and bill of materials (BOM) using CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing methods for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, stress calculations, and design validation to ensure product reliability and functionality.
- Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and design records.
- Stay informed about advancements in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and industry trends.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and FEA simulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in industrial automation, robotics, or process equipment design.
- Familiarity with 3D printing, CNC machining, and rapid prototyping techniques.
