We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead and optimize their manufacturing operations. This individual will play a key role in managing day-to-day production activities, continuous improvement projects and ensuring the plant runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.


Job Summary: The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive or RV industry, with a proven track record of leading manufacturing teams, improving operational efficiency, and driving results. The Plant Manager will work closely with senior directors to implement strategies for plant performance improvement, cost reduction, and growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily plant operations to ensure production targets are met on time and within budget.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production supervisors, engineers, and other plant personnel to achieve optimal performance.
  • Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing waste and downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate plant performance metrics, making adjustments to optimize efficiency, quality, and costs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other best practices.
  • Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure that inventory levels and materials are managed effectively to avoid production delays.
  • Manage plant budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement employee training programs to ensure proper skill development and safety awareness.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external partners to ensure the smooth flow of materials and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations specific to the automotive/RV manufacturing industry.
  • Lead regular meetings with senior management to report on plant performance and provide actionable insights for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related field (REQUIRED).
  • 3 years of experience in a plant management or operations management role within the automotive or RV manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in managing large teams and driving operational performance.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve plant efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of plant safety standards and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with production scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
