Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects related to the design, installation, and commissioning of packaging equipment, including conveyors, labeling machines, fillers, and robotic systems.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, operations, maintenance, and vendors, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee and review packaging equipment specifications, layouts, and performance to meet operational requirements and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to packaging machinery during installation and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements during project planning and implementation.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution, adjusting plans and schedules as needed.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, coordinating with suppliers and vendors to meet project timelines.
- Conduct testing and validation of packaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation to stakeholders and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
- Proven experience (5 years) managing and executing projects involving packaging equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge of packaging machinery, including installation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics.
- Familiarity with automation and robotics used in packaging systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with CAD software for designing layouts and system modifications.
- Understanding of regulatory standards and safety requirements for packaging equipment.
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including standing for extended periods and lifting equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to travel to project sites (up to 25%, depending on project needs).
